Emerson

Emerson International began as a realty research company in 1981. Steve Terry created this company in order to meet the growing demand of syndication companies for realty research, acquisition and market studies. Since that time, more than 105 professional realty studies have been published by Emerson International in markets across the United Stated and in several foreign countries. In 1984, Emerson responded to its research clientele and initiated a professional property management company. Emerson was soon accredited by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM - 1985) and had 12

offices located in 8 western states managing nearly 15,000 apartment units as well as 1.5 million square feet of commercial space. These property management contracts were later sold to Sovereign National Management Company (Bentsen family from Houston, Texas) in 1990.

Emerson was selected as one of the few SAMDA fiduciaries for the newly created Resolution Trust Corporation in 1990. Three SAMDA contracts totaling nearly $1.75 billion in commercial assets were successfully managed and sold by Emerson from 1990-1993.

Emerson created the MEGATRON^®market services which published a quarterly newsletter to more than 700 clients throughout the world. Annually, the MEGATRON^®Symposium typically drew more than 200 participants from 20 different nations focusing on the U.S. and international economies, the national real estate market, and the top 50 metropolitan markets in the United States.
